I really am not very good at keeping my blog updated! Since graduating almost a year ago, I have had a lot going on. My husband and I bought a house and moved last July, I worked as the Technician in the Print Studio at Georgian College over the summer, started another new job, and started working towards a Masters Degree in Theology. Turns out there are some very interesting connections between my artwork and my studies. I am fortunate to have professors who are challenging me to push into the realm of spiritual and physical realities which gives me a much happier place to think critically about it all. other than in a very long (and frankly boring) research paper. Still, with all the new things going on, it's been challenging to find an art rhythm in my home studio.
I moved my studio to Art in House (downtown Barrie, ON) and just recently repaired and put back together an old Praga Intaglio Press in my home studio. These changes and my first art show coming up, I feel very positive about how my art practice is developing. You really just have to keep working at it and make your priorities, priorities.
