I'm at the end of my third week back at school already! There was no time to get acquainted after a long summer break. We all hit the ground running with our first print edition due the second week, 2 small paintings due this coming Monday, first drawing class was with the nude model, welding in sculpting class and weekly assignments for Art Critique. Phew! I have been feeling very overwhelmed but with one task after another getting checked off my list, I know it will be OK.
I am definitely more confident this year. I don't feel like I have to prove to myself or anyone else I am an artist. I am. I'm not just an artist, I'm a printmaker....yes, I believe I have found my niche. In fact, I'm so in love with printmaking, my husband and I are driving to Coshocton, Ohio next week to purchase some historic litho stones that have been buried in concrete and recently uncovered. It's incredible, I can't wait to see them in person.
That will be a story to tell for sure. Until then, I've got work to do!
